The short version
- Your images are never uploaded. Mockup to Video makes your video inside your own browser. Your images, their file names and your finished videos never reach us.
- We store your email address, how many videos you downloaded each day, a fingerprint of each video you downloaded, and your subscription status.
- We count visits and clicks on this site to see which pages help and where people get stuck. This uses no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and never includes your IP address, email address or images.
- We don't sell your data, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

Mockup to Video is run by mockuptovideo, Clongriffin, Dublin 13, Ireland ("we"). mockuptovideo is a trading name of a sole trader based in Dublin, Ireland. We are the data controller for the information described here. Contact: hello@mockuptovideo.com.
What we collect, and why
Your account
Your email address, and the date you created your account. We need it to sign you in and to count your free videos. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address from Google and nothing else we use.
Usage
The number of videos you downloaded each day, and for each download: a fingerprint (a one-way code worked out from the video's settings and images, which can't be turned back into either), the video's shape, length and number of shots, and the time. This is what lets a video you already downloaded be downloaded again for free.
Subscription
If you buy Pro: your Paddle customer and subscription IDs, the subscription's status, and its renewal and cancellation dates. We never see your card details.
Site statistics
When you use this site, we record what happens on it: which pages are opened, which links and buttons are clicked, how far a page is scrolled and for how long it is open, and the steps of making a video (images added, video made, video downloaded, with counts and timings but never the images or their names). Each record also holds the address of the site that sent you here (without its query string), the country and network your connection comes from, your browser's user-agent string, and your screen width and language.
We do not store your IP address. To tell one visit from another, our server works out a one-way code from your IP address, browser and the day's date, together with a secret; the code changes every day and cannot be turned back into any of those things. Nothing is stored in your browser for this, and it is never linked to your account or email address. We use it to see which pages and features are used, to tell people from automated bots, and to fix the places where people give up.
Legal basis
We process account, usage and subscription data because we need it to provide the service you signed up for (performance of a contract). We use site statistics and security logs because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the site working and secure, and in understanding which parts of it are useful. You can object to this at any time (see "Your rights").
Who else handles it
- Supabase stores the account, usage and site statistics data.
- Our email delivery provider sends sign-in codes for us.
- Paddle.com is our reseller and merchant of record. When you buy Pro, Paddle collects your payment and billing details under its own privacy policy, and tells us your subscription status.
- Cloudflare hosts this website, and tells our server which country and network each request comes from.
- Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, they use safeguards recognised under EU law, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Stored in your browser
Mockup to Video keeps two things in your browser's local storage: your sign-in session, and the framing of your shots (image names, sizes and box positions) so your work comes back if you reload the page. The framing never leaves your computer. Clearing your browser's site data removes both.
How long we keep it
Site statistics are deleted automatically after 13 months. Everything else: for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account (from the account page, at any time), your account, usage and subscription records are deleted immediately. Paddle keeps its own payment records for as long as tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it, by emailing hello@mockuptovideo.com. You can delete your account yourself on the account page. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland (dataprotection.ie) or your local data protection authority.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, email account holders.
